The Lost Coin Still Matters

Jesus told a short story about a woman who lost one coin out of ten.
She didn’t ignore it.
She didn’t replace it.
She didn’t move on.
She lit a lamp.
She swept the house.
She searched carefully until she found it.
Then she celebrated.
And Jesus said heaven rejoices the same way when even one person turns back to God.
Here’s the truth we sometimes forget
The coin was lost… but it was never worthless.
People are the same way.
Someone can feel:
distant
discouraged
forgotten
stuck
or unsure where they belong
and still be deeply valuable to God. Always.
A picture from today
Imagine losing your phone somewhere in a crowded place.
Not just the device.
But the photos.
Messages.
Memories.
Notes from someone you love.
You wouldn’t shrug and say, “Oh well.”
You would search.
That’s the heart of this parable.
God doesn’t stop looking for people.
Something beautiful happens next
Jesus says heaven celebrates when one person returns.
Not when a crowd comes back.
Not when everything is perfect.
Just one.
That means your steps toward God matter.
Even small ones.
